Since winning the Guitar Star competition in 2015, guitarist/composer Gary Lutton has been in constant creative motion, working both as a solo artist and composer and as part of his own Dionys Ensemble. He is a master of the fingerstyle acoustic guitar. Employing percussive elements, loops and effects, he has created a signature sound that is resonant, warm, supple and just filled to the brim with grooves. It takes a big space to show it off at its best, and we were delighted to gain access to the historic St. Joseph’s Church in Sailortown, a space that is taking its own history and making something new with it.
